TESTOSTERONE THERAPY, Lincoln NE

What is Low Testosterone?

In men, testosterone is produced mainly in the testes and is responsible for stimulating sperm production and sex drive, as well as developing muscle and creating bone mass. As men age testosterone production decreases.

When production falls below certain levels several symptoms and complications can begin to occur. Signs of low testosterone can sometimes be subtle and mistaken as simply a part of the aging process.

Throughout life, testosterone peaks in the early 30s and steadily declines with age. However, age is not the only culprit behind decreasing testosterone.

Other medical conditions that can cause low T include the following:

  • Heart disease
  • Obesity
  • High blood pressure
  • Chronic illnesses

When low T occurs with or as the result of an existing medical condition, it can exacerbate symptoms of that condition and even accelerate disease progression.

What are the symptoms of Low T?

In addition to physical symptoms you may be experiencing, hormone deficiency is evaluated through lab work drawn at our office. If you are experiencing any of these, please call our office to make your appointment today.

Increased body fat                      Difficulty concentrating

Low sex drive                               Mood swings

Erectile dysfunction                    Loss of muscle strength

Low sense of well-being            Hair loss

Low lean muscle mass              Depression

Lack of energy and stamina      Fatigue

What are the treatment options?

LowT happens naturally, but that doesn’t mean you have to live with it. There are options available that will replace the testosterone you’ve lost and get you back to feeling younger. At Vitalize Health, we do not follow a set protocol. Our treatments are customized to each and every patient.

  • Testosterone Replacement Therapy - Injectable Testosterone is the most common course of treatment offered. Since your body no longer produces the correct amount of testosterone, weekly injections can replace what is missing. Regular lab work is required to ensure that you are staying within the correct range.
  • HCG - This treatment stimulates your body’s natural hormone production system, and raises your level of testosterone. When used in conjunction with Testosterone Replacement Therapy, your low T symptoms resolve faster.
  • Hormone Pelleting - Vitalize health offers bioidentical hormone pellets which are inserted under the skin during a simple procedure. These pellets contain hormones that are identical to the body’s natural testosterone and regulate hormones to an optimum level, avoiding any testosterone highs or lows that may be experienced with other low T treatments.
